\nRenowned Croatian painter and printmaker Anka Krizmani\u0107 was born here in 1896. She came from the Krizmani\u0107 family, one of the former owners of Kurija Omilje. During the time of the Illyrian movement, the manor hosted many of its key figures, including Stanko Vraz, Ljudevit Gaj, Stjepan Mlinari\u0107, Vjekoslav Babuki\u0107, Dragutin Rakovac, and Abbot Krizmani\u0107.
